Frequently Asked Questions
Here you will find answers to questions that we are frequently asked.
If you have a question that it not answered here, please do not hesitate to contact us using our contact page.
Question: Do you accept single-sex groups?
Answer: Unfortunately no, we only accept families and couples at Trenance.
Question: How close are you to the amenities of the town centre?
Answer: We're approximately 0.79 miles from the town and 0.83 miles from the nearest beach, so it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to walk.
Question: Do you have a clubhouse or any entertainment on-site?
Answer: Being so close to the town centre, and also having a family pub about 5 minutes walk away, we've found it makes sense not to have any kind of bar or clubhouse on site. This keeps it nice and quiet for those who want a good night's sleep!
Question: Do you have a swimming pool?
Answer: We don't, but we are directly next-door to the Trenance Leisure Complex. This has 2 swimming pools, tennis courts / cafes, children's playground, skate park, zoo, bowling green, golf pitch-&-putt and boating lake.
Question: Do you accept dogs on-site?
Answer: Unfortunately we don't.
Question: Do you provide bed-linen?
Answer: The caravans have blankets and pillows, and chalets have duvets and pillows. Guests are requested to bring their own bed-linen, table-linen and towels. Bed linen can be hired for 5 a set (this would be enough for a double bed); just make a note on the booking form. **Please note that we cannot provide duvet covers, only sheets and pillowcases**
Question: Are we allowed to have BBQs on-site?
Answer: We don't mind people having BBQs outside their caravans / chalets at all (as long as all the debris is cleared away)!
Question: Can I pay over the phone?
Answer: The original booking and deposit payment must be carried out either by post (fill out a booking form and send it with either a cheque or card details) or online. We CAN however accept balance payments over the phone with a credit / debit card.
Question: What are the differences between chalets and caravans?
Answer: The chalets are fixed cedarwood "lodges", each with sliding patio doors and a decked verandah; they are larger than caravans and the kitchens boast a proper fridge-freezer (whereas the fridges in the caravans just have a small freezer compartment). Really it's just a matter of personal preference!
Question: Are the caravans / chalets heated?
Answer: The chalets have an electric fire in the living area, and the caravans have a gas fire in the living area.
Question: Am I able to book \"odd\" days?
Answer: We allow short breaks for most of the season, however from 18th July - 5th September we can only accept bookings for caravans / chalets for a MINIMUM of 7 days, and the week must run from Saturday to Saturday. The same is true for camping bookings, however here the restriction only applies from 18th July - 15th August. Please note that short breaks for caravans / chalets must be for a minimum of three days.
Question: How much deposit do I have to pay?
Answer: £50 per caravan / chalet per week, or £21.50 per camping pitch per week (the £1.50 is a non-returnable booking fee).
Question: When do I have to pay my balance?
Answer: The balance of your holiday is payable no later than 3 weeks (21 days) before the arrival date of your holiday.
Question: How much do the showers cost?
Answer: The shower tokens are 30p each and last for about 10 minutes, so one is usually enough for a shower. They can be purchased either at reception, in the shop or from the camping wardens, and if you don\'t use all of the ones you have bought then please don\'t take them home; simply return them to us and we will refund your money! (The same tokens can be used to operate the irons in the Launderette and should last around 15 minutes.)
Question: How close are you to main transport links?
Answer: For those wishing to take advantage of the extra train services soon being provided for Newquay, we are around a 15 minute walk from Newquay Railway Station. Newquay Bus & Coach Station is in the town centre, around 5 minutes away by taxi, and the newly regenerated Newquay Airport is around a 15 - 20 minute taxi journey away.
Question: At what times may I check in and out?
Answer: Keys for caravans and chalets cannot be provided until 3pm on arrival day. This is to ensure that we have enough time for our "changeover"; in other words, to make the accommodation clean and comfortable for you! Check-out time is 10.30am on departure day. For camping / touring, pitches may be occupied from 2pm and must be vacated by 12 noon on departure day. Please bear these times in mind when planning your journey!
Question: What size are your camping / touring pitches?
Answer: All tents, caravans, camper vans etc must be able to fit within a 20m x 20m pitch. Any larger units may only be accommodated by special arrangement, and may be subject to an additional charge.
